Earth & Ember: Return to the Wild
A Spring Reclamation for Women Ready to Rise, Release & Remember
Ōtaki Gorge, Aotearoa | 7–9 November 2025
She’s calling you.
The wild self.
The one who once danced barefoot in the rain.
The one who held fire in her belly and art in her hands.
The one who stopped apologising when she remembered her worth.
This is your invitation to return to her.
To honour your story, in all its complexity.
To shake off what no longer fits.
To breathe, to scream, to create, to be seen.
🌀 A Transformational Spring Retreat
Held in the deep green arms of the Ōtaki Gorge, this 3-day/2-night immersion is designed for women ready to meet themselves fully — at whatever chapter of life they’re in.
This is not about perfection.
This is about permission.
To heal. To shed. To celebrate.
To reclaim what was never truly lost.
Guided by trauma-informed, qualified facilitators, Earth & Ember is your chance to deep dive into the inner mahi — with compassionate support and powerful tools for nervous system regulation, creative release, and radical embodiment.
Whether you are deep in your healing journey, celebrating how far you’ve come, or simply yearning for a deeper sense of aliveness — this retreat welcomes you exactly as you are.

🔥 Meet Your Guides
The women holding the flame beside you
This retreat is lovingly held by a circle of powerful, heart-led women — each one trauma-informed, creatively gifted, and deeply devoted to the wild reclamation of self. Each brings her own medicine to the sacred container of Earth & Ember — offering you not only tools for healing, but pathways back to your truth.
🌿 Kassandra Lynne – Ceremonial Photographer | Rewilding Guide | Founder of The Rewild Legacy
Kass is the beating heart of The Rewild Legacy — a visionary, guide, and artist who walks boldly between the worlds of creativity and deep healing. A trauma-informed embodiment coach and ceremonial photographer, her work is a living ceremony of sensual reclamation, emotional integration, and radical authenticity.
Kass creates immersive spaces where women can drop their armour and come home to themselves — not in theory, but in their bodies. She threads together movement, nature immersion, intuitive coaching, and visual storytelling to guide you toward the woman you were before the world told you who to be.
Whether you're meeting yourself through a wild portrait session or moving emotion through your body under the trees, Kass sees the essence of who you truly are — and mirrors it back with tenderness, ferocity, and truth.
🪶 Kim Cope Tait – Creative Writing Facilitator | Poet | Shamanic Energy Medicine Practitioner
Kim is an internationally published writer, educator, and healing arts practitioner whose presence is as grounded as it is poetic. With over two decades of experience guiding others through creative expression, yoga, and emotional processing, she brings a rare combination of intellectual depth and intuitive knowing.
Kim has been practicing energetic healing for over twenty years and is trained in the lineage of the Q’ero mystics of Peru — a sacred tradition that honours the wisdom of the land, the ancestors, and the subtle energies that shape our stories. Her shamanic work gently unravels what’s been bound, creating space for clarity, soul retrieval, and deep peace.
In her creative writing workshops, Kim creates sanctuaries for truth-telling — helping you listen to the voice within and write your way home.
🌀 Morgan Venetti – Pottery Artist | Founder of Mud + Woman Pottery
Morgan is a hands-in-the-earth creative and the heart behind Mud + Woman. Her work explores the intimate connection between body, clay, and self-worth. What began as a journey to heal her own relationship with her body has become a movement to help others reconnect with the earth, their hands, and their creative power.
Through her workshops and handmade pieces, Morgan offers grounding, expression, and raw beauty. She creates spaces where vulnerability is welcomed and creativity is celebrated — all through the language of mud, womanhood, and art.
🔥 Marsha of Wild Warmth – Photographer | Art Director | Wild Woman Circle Keeper
Marsha is a fine art photographer with a background in fashion, styling, and sacred space-holding. Her creative lens is earthy, ceremonial, sensual, and deeply emotive. Through her Wild Warmth offerings and women’s circle shoots, Marsha weaves storytelling, ritual, and reverence for the feminine.
She doesn’t just take photos — she channels them. Every shoot becomes a ceremony, every image a portal. With lived experience both in front of and behind the camera, she holds a unique ability to help women feel empowered, embodied, and alive in their truth.
🔥 Abby of Bush to Buffet – Wild Food Alchemist | Forager | Fire-Cracking Wholefood Chef
The creator of Bush to Buffet, Abby doesn’t just serve food — she crafts edible experiences that connect you back to nature, to seasonality, and to the joy of truly being fed. Her menus are bold, nutrient-dense, and full of soul — think wild greens, fermented magic, slow-cooked goodness, and flavours that make your cells come alive.
She’s equal parts kitchen sorceress and campfire badass — the kind of woman who’ll have a pot of bone broth bubbling before sunrise, dance between herbs and flames, and still plate a meal like a damn work of art. Abby knows food is medicine. And she brings it with humour, heart, and a salt-of-the-earth kind of realness.
A beloved part of our Rewild retreat crew, Abby feeds not just your belly — but your whole being. Her food grounds you, energises you, and reminds you what it means to be wild and well-fed.

🔁 Refund Policy
A non-refundable deposit of $250 NZD is required to secure your space at Earth & Ember. This deposit reflects the time, energy, and resources involved in holding your place — including venue booking, planning, logistics, and materials.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and we always aim to meet changes with compassion. If you find yourself unable to attend, we’ll do our best to help you fill your spot. Should we successfully find a replacement, we’re happy to refund your payment minus the $250 deposit and any online workshop, processing or admin fees. However, due to the nature of retreat logistics — accommodation, catering, and facilitator commitments — refunds are not guaranteed.
All other payments beyond the deposit are refundable up until 60 days prior to the retreat, provided your place is filled. After that, we are unable to offer refunds due to pre-paid expenses. Tickets are non-transferable unless arranged in advance as a gift or agreed upon with our team.
We encourage you to carefully consider your investment and capacity before booking. We also recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you for understanding, and for supporting the mission of The Rewild Legacy Charitable Trust — a not-for-profit organisation working toward long-term sustainability, scholarship support, and access for all.

FAQs & Terms/Conditions
Can I make a payment plan?
Yes absolutely! We have Afterpay facilities and if you get in touch with us directly we can organise a payment arrangement that may suit your needs.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
We are currently in the process of building up scholarship funds by submitting for grants & funding, along with donations and in kind sponsorship. We try our best to ensure everyone can be a part of Rewild, so if you are feeling the call but not sure about your financial situation then get in touch with us and we'll see what we can do to help.
If you are applying for a scholarship, you can email us directly at info@rewildretreats.co.nz. Let us know why you'd like to attend, why you need a scholarship and what you could afford to pay.
What if I need to cancel my booking? Do you offer refunds?
This is okay and we understand that things happen. Unfortunately due to the planning, involved logistics, coaching sessions prior to retreat and upfront costs of these events we do have a non-refundable deposit policy on all of our events/expeditions & workshops.
Most of our weekend retreats, there is a $250 non-refundable deposit and our week long full immersion programme there is a $500 non-refundable deposit.
We do also try to accomodate our participants however we can. In most cases, so long as we can replace your booking / fill your spot, we are happy to process a full refund minus any work completed or processing fees.
Is transport provided?
For most of our retreats, you'll need to get to the location on your own. If you do need assistance with this, we can help but please give us advance notice of this. For our full immersion programmes in Waitata Bay/Pelorus Sound, we have a full shuttle & water taxi service. You only need to get yourself to Nelson Airport.
Transport details for each retreat are listed on the event page.
I'm not an artist. Is this retreat for me?
Absolutely! All of our creative workshops and activities we offer are for beginners and seasoned artists alike, no art experience necessary! Our retreats are much more about gathering inspiration and exploring our internal landscapes through various modalities. Creative art therapy is a wonderful way to tap into your intuition & develop it. We’ll provide you with creative prompts but you will be at your own pace and it’s completely up to you how you’d like to use your creative time.
Can you accomodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely! We have an amazing chef that caters each of our retreat menus specifically for the group that attends.
All we ask is that you say exactly what you can and cannot have so that we can ensure your catering is to your liking.
This is also a practice in asking for what you need, don't be shy. We want this experience to be completely nourishing for you, and this includes nourishing kai.
Do you offer private retreats?
Yes we do! If you are interested in a custom retreat for your company, friend group or wellness group please get in touch. Email the team at info@rewildretreats.co.nz and let us know!
